Philadelphia Newborn Photographer Tori Stauffer discusses adding in large props into studio work.
I worked out of people's homes for years. I had a couple of problems with it. First of all, my shopping addiction causes me to have WAY TOO MANY newborn portrait outfits and fabric. I was at the point of carrying two full suitcases of just props to every newborn photo session. I am at the point now where I could just not bring everything I need to in order to create the amazing newborn pictures I do. In particular, this flower wall! I can barely get this bad boy in and out of my newborn studio for all my cute little ladies, there's no way I could get it into your house. The other reason I stopped traveling was light. I am a control freak. There is no way I would be okay with how light was falling on a baby if it wasn't at the perfect angle. I am constatly tweaking my light modifier thoughout the session, there is only so much you can change when you are using light through the window to light the baby.
